This team member performs various manual labor tasks in the maintenance and improvement of City parks and landscaped areas and performs related work as required.
Performs various manual tasks, including but not exclusive to operating equipment used in the landscaping, maintenance, and improvement of city-landscaped properties. Builds strong relationships with Parks department staff. Remains open and responsive to consistent coaching. Takes an active role in performance planning and goal setting. Acts as a role model at all times. Adheres to high ethical standards. Takes personal responsibility and initiative to develop core skills and competencies. Remains flexible in an environment by championing and embracing change.
High school diploma/GED or the equivalent amount of experience in grounds maintenance OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Must possess a valid driver's license. A Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) license is preferred but not required.
Bilingual: Spanish and English preferred but not required.
